The album by Astral & Shit, BARDOSENETICCUBE, D.O.J. Stone and many more impressive musicians with interesting past (like the cello player of the cult band Chimera) has a violent and high-quality sound accompanied by gnostic ideology. The album is pretty much about Blake’s poetry and exploitation of the Brittish esoteric underground aesthetics. This exploitation is so consistent that it happens to come to mind that the goal of an album was simply to copy all the important features of the discussed aesthetics. Here we have the songs about Satan with acoustic guitar, the timid voice that resembles David Tibet, of course an echoing extraterrestrial cacophony in the style of Coil and etc. But this album is not simply an epigone on the great ones. It is a vivid story about a tragedy of an artist in the existential void. For example, in “The Fly” noise is accompanied by a song for kids and electric guitar. And there are lots of other intriguing features in this work that are for you to explore for the first time in your life.
